Platform for Internationalisation (Plint) takes off in Sweden

A new platform for cooperation in internationalisation (Plint) started to be established earlier this year by a consortium of five institutions – the Swedish Institute (SI), The Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ), The Swedish Research Council and Vinnova – with ACA member Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) acting as the coordinator.

The main aim of the platform is to gather expertise in the fields of higher education and internationalisation to provide resources to stakeholders for problem solving and knowledge exchange. To this aim, the platform is to

  1. identify obstacles, raise policy issues and solve common problems
  2. listen in and share working methods, knowledge and insights
  3. be a knowledge hub for Higher Education Institutions that have questions about internationalisation in higher education, research and innovation.

In addition, the working areas of Plint are:

  • Mobility for students, researchers and staff
  • Sweden as a nation of knowledge
  • International external monitoring and analysis
  • Responsible internationalisation

The proposal for the Plint platform builds on the previous activities and efforts of the Forum for Internationalisation established in 2008 where UHR acted as the secretariat and the coordinator.

More information can be found on UHR’s website (in Swedish).
