European Education Area: These Are EU’s 10 Most Unique Study Programs

Except for being a tourism destination, the European Union also has some of the best higher education institutions, with unique and promising programs.

Erudera.com has recently shared a list of universities worth checking for interesting study experiences in the 27-nation bloc, which are mostly held in countries like Sweden, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Furthermore, according to the European Education Area, some of the unique study programmes in the zone are held in the following countries:

France

  • The Master in Advanced Materials: Innovative Recycling (AMIR) at the University of Bordeaux.
  • The International Master on Wine Tourism Innovation (WINTOUR) – University of Bordeaux.

Portugal

  • The International Master of Wine Tourism Innovation (WINTOUR) – University of Porto

Germany

Belgium

Spain

The latest data from the European statistics provider, Eurostat shows that 1.3 million students from abroad were attending higher education institutions in the EU throughout 201, with 23 per cent of them or 312,000, studying in Germany, 17 per cent in France and eight per cent in Italy and the Netherlands, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

In addition, the same source shows that 44 per cent of the students from abroad who were pursuing tertiary level studies in the 27-nation-bloc were from Europe, followed by Asian students who made up for 25 per cent of all and 15 per cent were from the African continent.

As per countries, Cyprus had the highest percentage points for international students from the Asian continent, followed by Spain with the most students from the Caribbean, Central and South America. On the other hand, France had the most students from Africa and Ireland recorded the highest number of North American students. As per Europeans, Liechtenstein welcomed the most students from the 27-nation as about 96 per cent of all international students were from the zone.
