According to a statement issued by the Delegation of the European Union to the Russian Federation, taking into account the growing number of scholarship winners, this leads Russia to confirm that it is one of the main beneficiaries of EMJM in the whole world, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

The delegation also emphasized that the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Program offers fully funded scholarships to beneficiaries who receive joint, double or multiple degrees upon graduation.

In addition, the fully funded scholarship also covers the recipient’s tuition fee, travel costs and living allowance, which enables the students to cover their basic needs such as food, health insurance, and local transport.

In this regard, the ambassador of the European Union to the Russian Federation, Markus Ederer, added that it is very important to maintain individual contact between people and opportunities for Russians, especially young people, to learn about Europe as it really is.

“While many joint activities between the EU and Russia have been discontinued, academic mobility programmes, including the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, are still available to Russian students,”  he also noted.

As the delegation explained, in cooperation with Russian students, Erasmus graduates and EU Member States, this event provided an interactive platform to exchange information on European studies and other practical aspects.

Data by the UNESCO Institute for Statistics show that over 48,000 Russians study abroad each year, with the largest numbers going to Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, France and Finland.

Previously, the Delegation of the EU in Bangladesh announced that about 151 students from Bangladesh would study in Europe with joint Erasmus Master scholarships from Erasmus + Program.

Bangladeshi scholarship recipients are allowed to study in various European cities to complete a Master’s degree in data science, engineering, climate change, gender studies, circular economy, public health, public policy and human rights.

In addition, on August 10, another 60 scholarships were awarded by the Delegation of the EU to Nepal, which announced that there were 60 Nepalese students this year.

The same also explained that the students were awarded full scholarships for 2022-2024, in which they will spend two years full-time at prestigious European Universities to pursue Master’s Degrees in several different fields.
